The Challenge We Face

Like many rural emergency services across Pennsylvania, Liverpool EMS is facing a severe financial crisis. The actual cost of providing round-the-clock emergency care far outpaces state reimbursements and standard funding.

Rural EMS is unique. Our crews travel significant distances to reach patients and even further to transport them to distant regional hospitals. That means every call uses more fuel, puts more wear and tear on our vehicle, and requires more crew time.

We have reached a critical tipping point. Our current financial resources are no longer enough to sustain daily operations without direct support from the people we serve.
