Every second counts when a neighbor suffers a heart attack, a child struggles to breathe, or a serious crash happens on our rural roads. For Liverpool and our surrounding towns, our local EMS is the difference between a rapid, lifesaving response and a terrifying wait.
Covering 50 square miles and 4,100 full-time residents—a number that doubles every summer with visitors heading to our riverfronts and state game lands—Liverpool EMS stands ready 24/7, 365 days a year.
Today, we are reaching out because the future of our service is in danger, and we need your help to keep our ambulance on the road.
The Challenge We Face
Like many rural emergency services across Pennsylvania, Liverpool EMS is facing a severe financial crisis. The actual cost of providing round-the-clock emergency care far outpaces state reimbursements and standard funding.
Rural EMS is unique. Our crews travel significant distances to reach patients and even further to transport them to distant regional hospitals. That means every call uses more fuel, puts more wear and tear on our vehicle, and requires more crew time.
We have reached a critical tipping point. Our current financial resources are no longer enough to sustain daily operations without direct support from the people we serve.

24/7 Staffing & Training: Retaining qualified EMTs and AEMTs ready to deploy at a moment's notice.
