We are reaching out today with humble hearts and an urgent appeal.

The steam boiler that provides heat to the entire Kṛishṇa Community Center has broken down. As many of you know, Michigan winters can be extremely harsh, and without proper heat, both the Deities and the devotees who gather daily for worship, kīrtana, study, and service are facing dangerously cold conditions.

When the boiler initially failed, the estimated repair cost was $15,000, and our devotee community immediately came together and raised the funds. This response itself was a beautiful expression of devotion and unity. However, once the repair company opened the boiler, they discovered extensive internal damage. Many critical parts must be replaced, with no guarantee the boiler would work without leaks or future failure. After professional assessment, it became clear that the most responsible and lasting solution is to install a new boiler, at an additional cost of $50,000.

This is not just about repairing equipment, it is about service. Srimad Bhagavatam emphasizes how the Lord is pleased when His devotees are cared for:

“The Supreme Lord is satisfied when His devotees are properly taken care of.” (Srimad Bhagavatam 4.31.22, purport).

Our temple is a sacred home for the Deities and a shelter for the community; a place where hearts are warmed by bhakti, even as winter rages outside. Without heat, we risk interrupting daily worship, classes, and gatherings that nourish spiritual life for so many.

We humbly ask for your help in raising $50,000 to install a new boiler, ensuring that this sacred space remains warm, safe, and welcoming through this winter and for many years to come.
