Help Keep Free Naloxone Delivery in Florida
Donation protected
The Florida Harm Reduction Collective is dedicated to transforming public health by meeting Floridians who use drugs where they are—through free Naloxone distribution, syringe access, overdose prevention, and comprehensive healthcare support.
Since April 2023, our mail-based Naloxone program has been providing between 600 and 1,000 Naloxone kits each month to individuals across Florida. Recipients can choose from three different types of Naloxone devices and receive a quick training video on how to use Narcan, along with a variety of educational resources. Each order includes information on local services, safe use tips, and vital harm reduction materials. To date, we've documented 444 overdose reversals—though the true number is likely much higher.
Despite its success, our funding for this essential program is limited and at risk of being depleted. Without continued support, our 600–1,000 monthly recipients may be forced to seek out other sources of Naloxone, often at a cost of $39–$59 from retail stores. This barrier disproportionately impacts people with disabilities, those without transportation, individuals experiencing poverty or homelessness, and other marginalized groups who rely on free harm reduction services to stay safe.
We are calling on the community’s support to keep this lifesaving program alive. Our goal of $20,000 will cover postage, packing supplies, and educational materials for over a year, enabling us to distribute an estimated 7,200 to 12,000 Naloxone kits and potentially save hundreds of lives.
