Who They Are

And Terry has been right there—steady, capable, and kind—making sure the people around them are taken care of.

After 25+ years with the same company, COVID restructuring pushed Floyd to make a hard choice. He and Terry took a leap and launched Far Out Kitchen so they could share what brings them joy: great food served with love. It worked. Customers didn’t just love the flavors; they loved the people behind them. Terry keeps the operation humming; Floyd listens to the crowd and cooks from the heart. Together, they built a loyal community—one plate, one conversation at a time.

What Happened

Last year, Floyd suffered a heart attack. He recovered and got back to serving the community—because that’s who they are: resilient. Then another heart attack struck. Floyd is bouncing back physically, but the financial hit has been severe. Medical bills piled up. While Floyd recovered, their revenue dropped.
