I don’t usually post personal things like this… but today, I’m asking for help for someone very dear to me. ❤️
There is a woman I know who has spent her entire life caring for others. She is raising her grandson - who needs 24/7 care - and she does it with more love and strength than I could ever put into words. He’s just 14 years old and has been battling more than most adults ever will:
• Cerebral Palsy
• Hydrocephalus
• Jacobson Syndrome
• Autism
His medical appointments are in Savannah, GA… a 2-hour drive each way. She pays $200 every single trip just to get him there because her own car has broken down - it needs a new battery and won’t stay running. And he turns 15 in January.
To make things even harder, his grandpa is also very sick. He has peripheral artery disease, has already undergone procedures to open the veins in his legs, and he is unable to work. He has filed for disability, but with everything going on in government right now, there are delays… and they’ve fallen behind.
Now… they are at risk of being evicted.
They’ve lived in their little home for 10 years. It’s not much… but it’s theirs. It’s their safe place. And they could lose it.
Back rent owed: $650
She can pay $400
New rent due November 1st: $570
Total needed to keep their home: $820
And what does that sweet boy want for Christmas?
Not toys. Not electronics.
He just wants to help his grandma keep their home.
This woman has always been there for - she is my mom. She has given everything she could, every time she could. But right now, she’s struggling and I can’t be there to help - I live 6 hours away and only get to visit once or maybe twice a year. I, myself can only help so much ..
I have seen this community do incredible things. I’ve seen people come together when it matters most. And today, I’m praying for that kindness once again.
If you can help—even a dollar—it would mean the world to them.
And if you can’t, please keep them in your prayers and share this post. ❤️
Everyone needs help sometimes. And right now… they do.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for believing that no family should lose their home—especially not one fighting this hard already.
