For 16 years, A Grape in the Fog has been a place where Pacifica gathers. We’ve celebrated milestones, supported local artists and makers, raised glasses to community causes, and welcomed everyone who needed a warm, safe, inclusive space. “The Grape” has never just been a wine bar. It’s been home.
This September, our lease is up for renewal. Although we have the option to stay another three years, the financial challenges that began during the pandemic have put our future at risk. As the owner, it breaks my heart to hesitate at signing a lease for a place that means so much to so many.
We’ve always shown up for our community—donating to local schools and charities, hosting live music and events, uplifting small businesses, and offering mentorship and opportunity to young adults entering hospitality. And every day, our small but mighty team, including longtime employee and “community ambassador” Christine Collins, pours their hearts into keeping this place special.
Now, we need the community’s help in return. I’ve created a clear plan outlining exactly how donations will be used so you can follow our progress. Your support today will give us the financial stability we need to renew our lease and keep this beloved "Third Place" alive. If The Grape has ever made you feel welcome, celebrated, comforted, or connected, please consider helping us continue our story. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for being part of our family.
