As most of you know, Aidan and Kaylie are relocating to Texas as Aidan’s professional service with the Army continues. Aidan has been in Garland, TX since January. Kaylie and the kids Reese and Raelynn, in addition to Janna, headed out in Kaylie’s car yesterday, July 8. EnRoute, around Winslow Az., the car caught fire and it was a total loss! By the grace of GOD everyone is OK, just shaken up!!! However, they have experienced a great loss of personal items that the moving company could not take and several boxes of mementos and cherished items. About 80% of all their clothing was lost, jewelry including Kaylie’s wedding ring, all of Reese’s and Janna’s baseball/softball gear, including a custom Louisville Slugger personalized bat that Aidan got for Reese while away. There were numerous firearms and ammo, in addition to a keepsake heirloom mirror that was my mom’s and a crystal lamp, iPads, glasses and contacts, and most of the kids’ favorite things. Everyone is safe and sound back here in Cottonwood for the next few days and Aidan arrived late last night on a red-eye flight. Their plan is to fly back to Texas next week and pick up the pieces from there! The unfortunate thing is that the insurance only covers the value of the car and our hope is that it is at least what the loan payoff is. We have a wonderful village around us and at these times it shines so brightly…GOD IS GOOD!! Any contribution to this wonderful, faithful, military family would be appreciated.
The funds will be used to get the family flights back to Texas in addition to replacing their car and as many of the personal items lost. Thank you again.
