Hello and thank you for looking at this. I am Kelley and I am setting up this gofundme for my daughter in law, Kaylee, and my son, Timmy, and their 4 precious children: Koda -4, Winter -3, summer-2 and Autumn 1 month
Kaylee has had a tragic, life changing medical diagnosis just 28 days after giving birth to their 4th child. She has a condition called peripartum cardiomyopathy. This is heart failure induced by pregnancy. She went to the emergency room on November 19 and was admitted into the cardiac ICU, and life saving measure were started. Since her heart function was so poor, she had to have an impella (implanted heart pump) placed on November 21. They are trying to get her heart strong enough to have another surgery which is having an LVAD placed, This is a more permanent assist device to keep her alive while she waits for a heart transplant, which could take years.
As you can imagine, this has been a life altering diagnosis. Kaylee would have been returning to work in just a few weeks. While they had planned for and saved for a maternity leave, no young couple can imagine, let alone prepare for, this kind of news.
They are currently in need of assistance with money for many things. They have 4 children to provide shelter, food and clothing. While family is providing as much child care as they can, they also need assistance with money for a babysitter when Timmy needs to be at the hospital with Kaylee. On top of all this, Christmas is right around the corner.
We would really appreciate it if you could find it in your heart to help this young family in their time of need.
Thank you all so much!
UPDATE: as of November 30th things are looking better. They are at 50% that the Impella pump and meds are doing there job and that she may not have to have the Lvad placed.
Thank you everyone for your continued prayers! They are very much appreciated!
Update Dec 4th
Kaylee is doing much better than they expected! Tomorrow they plan to take the Impella down to the lowest setting and take it out on Friday as long as all goes well!
they are still prepping her for the Lvad with a 50/50 chance she won’t have to get it….
Thank you to everyone for your continued support and PRAYERS!
