Backstory: Kaylea, her husband Reuben, and her son Arie need your help. She is 20 weeks pregnant with her second child and also has a toddler. She works as a labor and delivery nurse in Kansas City, MO. Her family is one of the kindest and most giving people I’ve ever met, and they truly deserve all of the support in the world.

Last week, a fire started in Kaylea’s home while she was outside with her son, Arie.

Fortunately, nobody was harmed, although Kaylea inhaled a lot of black smoke while she went in to successfully rescue her dogs.

They are currently staying in a hotel and struggling with the insurance company. The house is able to be repaired, but it will take months. They don’t expect to go back until around October.

Right now, the immediate needs are money for toys/items for her two-year-old son, and money for food (they’re in a hotel without cooking supplies for at least another week or so until they’re able to live in temporary housing).

I will update this as soon as I know a drop-off location if you’d rather donate items over money.
