My name is Katy and this is the most humbling and embarrassing thing I’ve ever had to write. On June 23rd, our family changed forever. We were the live-in caregivers for my husband's grandmother on hospice. Her son (my father-in-law) also lived with us. He was arrested as part of a child sex sting in Fairfax, VA (*He is innocent until proven guilty).
He has been sitting in jail. On July 2nd, he was released on a bond. He and his mother have decided that the “best” thing is to move him back in the house and that we get out. We have three young daughters to put first. We would never have them live with a child predator (*He is innocent until proven guilty). CPS also will not allow it. Our life was going smoothly. We both have full-time jobs and are great parents. We had a good family life. We all took care of each other. Instead of him doing the right thing, they would rather cut ties with us. We have no savings as we had secure housing and just paid off some bills. . We are going to save and work every hour we can to save up for a place. We have family and friends we can stay with but not for any long amount of time. The disgraceful actions of one man are threatening to ruin 3 innocent lives. Please contribute if you can. Thank you.
