As most of you know who have been following along, I uprooted my life and moved in to be my mom’s caretaker as she suffered  from dementia. Unfortunately, she needed far more care and was placed in long-term memory care. 

My mom planned for this possibility and guaranteed me that if I needed to move, she would cover the expense. When I came here, I had to break my lease and lost everything (first, last, security deposit, and 1 month's additional rent as a penalty for breaking the lease).

Fast forward to now. My mom died from her dementia. I’m the caretaker living permanently in her home and my beautiful mom left us. 

The fiduciary is now in charge and I am by court order to be out by February 15th. The fires have made it impossible to find a roof over my head that I can afford. I’m on SSDI. My home address is here. My car registration and voter registration is here. I have exactly half of what I need to relocate.

So here I am asking for help so I can get myself moved back. My heart is shattered over all of this. Quite frankly, I’m so really tired and worn down. I’m moving through this mainly because I have my mom’s cat to continue caring for. Not sure I can handle much more and yet here I am.

Any help you can get me to my goal would be greatly appreciated. Katie (my mom’s kitty) and I need to start again. I’m open to leaving the state at this point. California is unaffordable for me, tbh.
