Our dear friend and mentor, Kathy Norwood and her family, Mary Ann and Burke are experiencing some challenges and could use our support and love.

Kathy's spouse, Mary Ann, recently had a serious fall and was hospitalized. Kathy has acted as a needed advocate daily during Mary Ann's extended stay where it was determined a significant surgery was needed if she were to walk again. Although all of Mary Ann's future needs are unknown, once she returns home, she will be wheelchair-bound for several months.

At the same time, Kathy's mom who lives out-of-state, is experiencing rapidly declining health, and their beloved family pet is having ongoing vet visits and is not currently thriving.

Kathy is the primary family earner, and is needing to step back from her work to manage the on-going needs that they face. This unexpected medical hurdle has created many known (and yet unknown) financial challenges.

We are launching this campaign for friends and the community to come together to support Kathy, Mary Ann and their son Burke during this challenging time.

We are hopeful that this GoFundMe will provide resources to the family as they navigate expenses such as:

Unexpected medical bills, including hospital, surgery and rehab facility
Unexpected veterinary bills for their beloved family member
Adapting their home for wheelchair use
Lost revenue for the next several months as Kathy steps in to provide support and care for the family.
At-home supplemental care (TBD) and medical devices including the purchase of a $7000 at-home FDA Class II medical device that will provide enhanced circulation which can support the process of bone growth, and the body’s innate ability to heal.

Kathy, Mary Ann and Burke have touched so many lives in so many ways, and we are delighted to be able to support them during this portion of their journey.
