This January, I will travel with a team of physicians, students, and volunteers to rural Guatemala to serve as a volunteer medical assistant, where we will provide medical, dental, and veterinary care for children and families who otherwise have little or no access to healthcare.
This is an incredible opportunity for me as a future physician to learn, serve, and give back in a meaningful way, and most importantly, support underserved communities!
The total cost of the trip is about $3,500 — including program fees, housing, flights, and required medical supplies. I am covering as much as I can, but I cannot meet the full cost alone.
