If you’ve ever met Kate, you know what a genuine and caring conversation feels like — and for good reason. She’s one of the most authentic, honest, and strong women you’ll ever meet.

Kate is a devoted wife and loving mother to two young boys. After discovering she carries the BRCA2 gene — the same gene that claimed her mother’s life through ovarian cancer — Kate is courageously taking every step she can to break the cycle and protect her future.

For those unfamiliar, BRCA2 is a hereditary gene mutation that dramatically increases a woman’s risk of developing breast and ovarian cancers — often at a younger age. Knowing this, Kate made the incredibly brave decision to take control of her health through preventative surgeries to reduce her risk.

She has already undergone a hysterectomy and oophorectomy, and in March she will face a double mastectomy — a lifesaving decision that will bring lifelong challenges.

As a self-employed business owner, several months away from work will have a considerable financial impact on her family. Every donation, big or small, will help ease that burden.

Through it all, her motivation is clear: to be there for her husband and her boys — to watch them grow, to build memories, and to live her life without an uncertain timeline.
