<div>Kate is a devoted wife and loving mother to two young boys. After discovering she carries the BRCA2 gene — the same gene that claimed her mother’s life through ovarian cancer — Kate is courageously taking every step she can to break the cycle and protect her future.

<div>For those unfamiliar, BRCA2 is a hereditary gene mutation that dramatically increases a woman’s risk of developing breast and ovarian cancers — often at a younger age. Knowing this, Kate made the incredibly brave decision to take control of her health through preventative surgeries to reduce her risk.

<div>She has already undergone a hysterectomy and oophorectomy, and in March she will face a double mastectomy — a lifesaving decision that will bring lifelong challenges.
