Help Kat Find Stability After Sudden Eviction
Donation protected
I am setting up this Go Fund account for a dear friend of mine. Here is her situation:
Hi, my name is Kat, and I never thought I’d be in this position. I’m reaching out with a humble heart, hoping for any kind of help during this incredibly difficult time.
This past Sunday, I received a sudden message giving me just 24 hours to leave my former living situation. I had no time to prepare. After church, I sat in shock reading that message over and over. I was panicked, confused, and unsure of where to go. By 7:00 p.m., I packed my things and left—without a plan, a place to stay, or money to get by.
I sat at a gas station crying for hours, trying to figure out my next move. My account had just gone into overdraft from a bill I forgot to postpone, and my car only had 49 miles of gas left. I tried calling resources and looking online for help, but everything led to a dead end. I spent the night in a Walmart parking lot—terrified and heartbroken.
Since then, I’ve been living in my car. I haven’t had a hot meal since Saturday. I’ve always worked hard and taken care of myself, even through tough times—I’ve never applied for benefits or asked for handouts before. But today, I’m asking.
I urgently need help to:
Rent a room or temporary living space
Get some food and basic necessities
Put gas in my car so I can continue working (gig delivery)
Service my car, which just hit 100,000 miles and urgently needs maintenance
Take care of my mental health so I can move forward
I believe this is just a chapter in my story, not the end. If you’re able to donate, share, or even say a prayer, I would be forever grateful. Every little bit helps me take a step toward stability and healing.
With love and gratitude,
Kat
