I’m creating this GoFundMe to support my amazing daughter and son-in-law, Karli and Corey. They are so incredibly deserving of the family they have dreamed of having. Karli and Corey are some of the best of the best when it comes to parenting. They love their son Milo with their whole hearts and have created such a beautiful nurturing home. When Milo was just three years old he was asking "why is it just me?" He has wanted a sibling for so long now, and we know he will make the most amazing big brother one day. If you would like to help this well deserving family, I know it would mean the world to them and to those of us who love them dearly.

At age 18, Karli suffered a pulmonary embolism and was diagnosed with a blood-clotting autoimmune disease, requiring her to take blood thinners for life.

She always knew pregnancy could be high risk, but doctors assured her it would be manageable.

After the painful loss of twins and another miscarriage, Karli was finally able to carry their son, Milo. His birth, however, was extremely dangerous. Karli developed HELLP Syndrome and experienced an eclamptic seizure, requiring an emergency delivery at 32 weeks to save her life.

They still held on to the hope that they could have another child one day, and doctors assured them future pregnancies could be monitored more closely.

After four more miscarriages and a health scare, they met with a few specialists who ultimately advised that Karli’s form of antiphospholipid syndrome is too aggressive.

The risk of another pregnancy is simply too high.

Despite all of the heartbreak, they’ve remained hopeful.

Karli completed IVF in November, and they have now found an incredible surrogate who is ready to help bring their baby into the world.

Surrogacy is a beautiful path, but it’s also incredibly expensive.

While they would never ask for help themselves, any support to lighten the financial burden of growing their family would be immensely appreciated.
