Help Karlee Heal: Support This Brave Girl’s Next Surgery

Donation protected
Meet Karlee — a strong, smart, and incredibly loving little girl who’s already faced more medical challenges in her first two years of life than most people face in a lifetime.

Karlee was born on September 20, 2022, with a rare condition called Upper Eyelid Coloboma. From the moment she entered this world, she’s been a fighter.

At just two months old, Karlee underwent her first major surgery. Doctors took skin grafts from the inside of her cheeks to reconstruct her eyelids. Her eyes were sewn shut for four weeks to give those grafts a chance to heal. When they reopened her eyes, one side had healed beautifully. But her left eye needed more care — requiring a second graft, this time from behind her ear. She faced it all with the quiet strength only a child like Karlee could.

Now, nearly two years later, Karlee is facing another surgery this summer.

Her doctors discovered that tissue is covering the surface of her left eye, affecting her vision and causing pain. She also needs reconstruction of her left eyelid and debulking of her right upper eyelid to support both her comfort and her sight. These are not cosmetic procedures — they are necessary for Karlee’s ability to see, grow, and thrive.

Karlee’s recovery will be intense and personal. She will be out of daycare for 3–4 weeks, and Rhiannon, as her mother and sole caregiver, will need to take that time off work without pay to care for her around the clock.

We are reaching out today to ask for your support — not just for the surgery, but for the weeks of healing that follow.

Your donations will help cover:
• Rhiannon’s lost wages while she cares for Karlee at home
• Medical-related costs and travel to appointments
• Daily living expenses
• Any unexpected needs that come up along this healing journey

Every single donation, share, and prayer makes a difference. Truly. Even $5 helps lighten the load.

Karlee’s journey of healing isn’t over — it’s lifelong. But so is her strength. She is a walking miracle in the making, and we cannot wait for the day she’s able to tell her story with her own voice. We are endlessly proud of Rhiannon for the mother she is, as she continues to be Karlee’s advocate, her nurse, her teacher, and above all — her mama.

From the bottom of our heart: thank you for standing beside us.

With gratitude,
Karlee’s proud family
