Help Karen's Journey Back to New Jersey

Hi, my name is Angela, and I am fundraising for my aunt, Karen. Karen lived in Princeton, NJ since her twenties and established a nice life for herself. In 1987, Diane, my mother, Karen’s sister was murdered. I was fifteen years old, and my aunt Karen was the first person I called and asked if I could move to New Jersey from my hometown of Florida to live with her. During a devasting time in our lives, Karen took me in and has been a loving and caring aunt and mother to me till today.

Over the years of waitressing and catering, Karen developed degenerative joint disease which has prohibited her from working since 2002 till today. She moved back to our hometown in Florida in the early 2000s because of the warmer weather but essentially, she has been living with pain for the past 40 years.

In February 2024, Karen was recently diagnosed with stage four Endometrial cancer. We need help getting my aunt back to New Jersey. With her pre-existing health issues and not being able to walk, medical transportation with nurse and paramedic assistance via ground and air is extremely expensive. We thank God that she was just approved admittance to a nursing home in New Jersey, but we need help with the costs of transportation and moving expenses from Florida to New Jersey. We call upon help to get my aunt back to New Jersey so that she does not have to fight this cancer alone but to be back with me and my son; her only family and her many friends here in New Jersey for loving support.
