Help Karen's Family After Fire
6/14/2025
We have had little progress so far. Hotels are expensive so helping this family get into another rental would be best. Since it is summer, the kids have been spending some time with friends but once school starts back, they will need safety and consistency. If you can help, please do so and share, share, share! G-d bless everyone!
UPDATE: The insurance inspector was out and determined the floor joists are not safe. The owner of the home stated it would be a minimum of 6 months before all repairs are completed!
Any help you can provide continues to keep a roof over this family's head. Please share and know even $5 can make a huge difference! They have been in touch with Red Cross and they were provided with a 3 day hotel voucher but there is not much else available.
*If you know of a rental available please message me.
Karen, my son's girlfriend's mother, is facing a challenging time after a fire severely damaged her rented two-bedroom home. The fire occurred on the day of a baby shower for my son and Karen's daughter. While they were home for a short while, they noticed smoke coming from the crawl space. The fire department had to smash holes through the home, and the resulting smoke and water damage ruined their clothes, belongings, electronics, and furniture.
Karen, who has custody of her three grandchildren, ages 11 to 13, is currently staying with another relative. This has resulted in ten people living in a three-bedroom home, which is far from ideal. The family is in urgent need of a camper to stay in at a local campground until their home is repaired. Additionally, they need to replace essential furniture once they can move back in.
This fundraiser aims to support Karen and her family during this difficult time by helping them secure temporary housing and replace their lost belongings. Your support can make a significant difference in their recovery journey.
