Help Karen Rebuild Her Life After Her Tragic Loss

Hi I am Sudha from Newark, CA, and I am organizing this fundraiser campaign for someone known to me who has gone through a tragedy.
I am hoping to gather emergency donations for Karen Insunza, an unfortunate victim of the flash floods that hit San Diego on Jan 22nd. Karen, along with her three children aged 8,10 and 11, her elderly mother, her ailing brother and partner lost all they had instantaneously in the storm. Rendered newly homeless and having lost all her belongings, Karen is struggling to find a temporary shelter for her family as she attempts to rebuild her life from scratch.
Karen is a single mom, a strong and persevering woman. I have known Karen for some time and she is one of the most positive, inspiring and highly resilient people I have come across. In recent months, she has been striking a delicate balance between her personal responsibility of caregiver for her family amidst personal challenges while also, through her work, advocating for the underserved community in San Diego and helping to improve their lives. And, sadly, this disaster has set her and her family back even worse.
I quote her words soon after the tragedy,
“Everything in the house has been lost, everything… everything...”
“It is horrible… words and videos or pictures do not express how bad the situation is.”
