Help Karen and Johnny get back into their home

I have created this Go Fund Me for Karen and Johnny Huntley, to help them get back into their home, as insurance is not stepping up with the service they should be providing. Karen and Johnny aren't extremely close friends but to know Karen and Johnny is to love them. They are the salt of the earth, and they truly deserve a break.

Karen and Johnny had a house fire which resulted in a flood around August 1st. They have two daughters. Leena is 7 and Penny is 2. After the incident Karen and Johnny got in touch with their insurance company and had to hound them to even get them out to look at the house. They took so long to get people out to the house that mold had taken over, and it was found that there was lead in the paint, and asbestos in the flooring. When the insurance company finally ended up removing some of the damaged material, they didn’t put up a proper airlock system for removal. There is now likely asbestos dust all over the house, which they refuse to test for. They didn’t even bring a potable toilet to the house, so the employees of the insurance company were left using the non-functioning toilet in the house and there are clumps of used toilet paper on the counter in the washroom!!! The floors are filthy from mud being tracked in by the demo crew and the house still wreaks of smoke They’ve been through 3 adjusters, all assigned by the insurance company, and the removal of damaged materials is still not done, and the house has been left in disarray....... 5 months later. They are clearly being treated horribly by the insurance company. So because they refused their first offer which wouldn't have even covered a portion of the repairs, the insurance company refused to put heaters in the house so it froze and flooded again, which is the current state. Karen, Johnny and the girls have been living in an RV in their yard, which is clearly hard to keep warm enough at -40 and they cannot keep water from freezing. The insurance company keeps trying to get them to move into the house because they plan on putting a heater in the upstairs to “stabilize the living area”, but have no plans for water, gas, or electricity. There are no appliances, and no way to use them even if there were. So they have been trying to repurpose an outbuilding into a temporary home until they can move back into theirs. I am hoping that the community can rally around this wonderful family and help them in their time of need. To either outfit the out building so they are safe, or get back into the house sooner. Its not always about money either. They need someone to plumb in a sink, they need drywall. Please consider helping. Thank you
