Life has brought a season that no one can fully prepare for. Kara has spent the last ten months caring for her husband, Daniel, with incredible love, faith, and strength. As they continue to navigate this difficult time, Kara deserves the peace and time to simply be with him without the heavy weight of financial worry. 

 

Under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), she is entitled to take up to 12 weeks off work, but this time is unpaid. We’re raising funds to help cover her living expenses and lost income so she can remain by her husband’s side as they face this difficult time together. 

 

Your generosity will help with: 

• Three months of lost income while she takes FMLA leave 

• Household bills like mortgage, utilities, etc.

• Gas and travel costs for family and hospital visits 

• Meals and groceries

• Any potential medical expenses

Our goal is to raise $20,000, which represents about three months of living expenses. Every dollar given helps lift a little bit of the weight she’s carrying, allowing her to focus on spending this time taking care of Daniel instead of worrying about finances.
