This is not something I created lightly. There’s a lot more behind why I’m asking for help than just “wanting a car.” Over the past year, I’ve faced significant personal and financial challenges while becoming a mum and trying to maintain stability for my baby. I’m currently on maternity leave and working in care support, doing everything I can to build a secure future for us. Where I live, public transport is limited and unreliable. Getting to work shifts, appointments, and managing childcare without a car adds stress, long travel times, and sometimes missed opportunities. A reliable vehicle would mean: • Safe, dependable travel for my baby • Access to more work shifts and better opportunities • Less time commuting and more time being present as a mum • Greater independence and stability There are personal circumstances behind this that have made things more difficult than expected, and I’m doing this largely on my own. I’m doing everything I can — selling items, budgeting carefully, and saving where possible — but I still need support to reach this goal. I’m not looking for anything flashy. Just a safe, practical car with space for a car seat and pram. The £3,500 goal would cover the car itself and the initial costs to get us safely on the road.
