Dear friends and family,

We are here with a heavy heart. Once again, we have lost yet another family member to gun violence. Kathleen Hayes was the victim of a violent crime on May 12th, 2025. She was shot and killed in her home. Her daughter Kamilla was in the home when this tragedy occurred. Kamilla is Marcias granddaughter and the daughter of my nephew Durant "Buddy," who was my sister Marcia's son. Buddy was also murdered in September of 2023. Kamilla, who is only 10, has now lost both parents at another person's hands in less than eighteen months. Marcia is Kamilla's (and her grandson Vincent, Buddy's son) next of kin. She is now raising both kids alone due to these horrific circumstances. We are reaching out and asking for help to assist in this transition process for Kamilla. We are not a family to ask for help, but due to these unusual circumstances, we have no choice. Anything helps, and prayers are always welcome.
