My name is Toni Hardin, and I am reaching out for help after a terrifying experience that has deeply affected my family. My son, Ka’Mari Hardin, is only seven years old. Recently, while he was simply walking around our neighborhood, two older boys—just 16 and 17—pushed him to the ground. One of them held him down while the other pulled a gun on him and took the money he had worked so hard to earn doing small jobs for neighbors. This moment has left Ka’Mari traumatized. He’s now too scared to go outside, and it breaks my heart to see my child living in fear. As a parent, all I want is for my kids to feel safe and happy, but right now, our neighborhood doesn’t offer that. I am doing everything I can to protect my children, but I simply don’t have the resources to move us to a safer place on my own. That’s why I’m turning to you for help. Any support you can give will go directly toward helping us find a new home where my kids can feel secure and start to heal from this experience. I never imagined I’d be in this position, but I know that with your kindness, we can find hope and safety again. Please consider helping us take this important step toward a better future. Thank you so much for your support.
