Help Kaitlyn Through This Challenging Time

I am raising funds for my sister, Kaitlyn. 100% of donations will go to relieving her while she is out of work.

Kaitlyn currently lives in Asheville, NC. Last month, a hurricane wiped out thousands of homes, jobs, and families. While her home was not damaged, there is still no water for her to shower, cook, or drink over a month after the hurricane. She was displaced for 3 weeks, unable to work or return home. WNC is still trying to rebuild, which could take years. Water will not return to normal for at least a couple of months.

Two weeks after returning to work, on Tuesday, November 5, Kaitlyn's dad and my stepdad, Larry, went into cardiac arrest, causing him to fall and hit his head, which caused a brain hemorrhage, putting him into a coma and on life support. He has been transferred to Cleveland Clinic under close watch of the cardiac, neuro, and vascular departments here.

Larry is making progress, but it is going to be a long haul. Kaitlyn is his best friend and power of attorney. She will not leave the hospital and will stay by his side until he is discharged from each department. This could take over a week, leaving her out of work for nearly 2 months.

I want to start this GoFundMe to relieve her of financial stress while she supports our dad and gets back into the swing of 'normalcy' at her home in Asheville.
