Early Sunday morning, our family’s world was turned upside down. Our sweet, smart, and promising 18-year-old Kaitlyn, was shot while visiting a friend on an ordinary day and is now fighting to heal. She faces a long, painful, and uncertain recovery…physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Kaitlyn is not just a victim, she is a vibrant young woman with dreams, potential, and a kind heart that touches everyone she meets. She recently stepped into adulthood with so much hope for her future, and now that future has been shaken in the most unimaginable way.

Her mother, Sydnie Ferguson, who is Kaitlyn and her sister’s only provider, will have to leave work without pay in order to care for her daughter full-time during this critical and life-altering journey. The emotional weight is already unbearable. We are hoping to lighten just a bit of the financial burden this situation brings.
