HELP KAI JOLLEY STAY IN THE UK

Donation protected
Dear Friends & Loved Ones,

You have told me time and time again that I should start a GoFundMe to help with the costs of this major life changing appeal against the Home Office's decision to decline my visa permit.

Thank you to those who have shown such belief and support in warranting my staying in the UK.

Robert Woodward and I had been in a loving relationship for 3 years, sharing our lives together in the UK. Our bond was not just emotional but also physical, as we'd have been living under the same roof for most of this time being together. Our relationship had been a source of strength and support, especially during Rob's ongoing battle with cancer.

Unfortunately Robert passed away on the 5th of March 2024. We had hoped to have gotten married and live together for the years to come, but this can no longer be the case.

I am now having to go through the process of appealing the Home Office's decision to decline my visa permit. The process is extremely difficult especially after losing my partner.

Due to the complexity of the situation and a misunderstanding in whether or not I was able to apply for permanent residency, I reached out to my local MP. I had enquired about getting the MP of Riverside's support in the application as I have been involved in many local organisations, charities and cultural movements.

The MP's office had got back to me, stating that because of the nature of the refusal they would not be able to assist and he should seek legal representation. This legal representation is now in place.

The process is absolutely soul destroying. I have exhausted so many avenues asking for help in this devastating situation with little success.

I was Robert Woodward's partner and main carer whilst he had his battle with cancer. We were there for one another through the thick of it. I already have lost my partner, please don't let me lose my home, my career, my community & my main support network through this difficult time as well.

I have done my best for the community and it really feels as though I am running on empty at this stage. I've been working with adults with learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries and dementia with Moving On With Life & Learning (MOWLL). Working with different charities around the city, either directly or indirectly such as The New Belve Youth and Community Sports Centre, Autism Together & Cancer Research UK.

My involvement in a thriving arts industry including working in Theatre in Education. Running workshops for local youth and young adults. Filming productions with Stage-ed, Bill Elms Productions, The Power Foundation FYP, Arab Arts Festival, Brazilica, University of Liverpool, The Power Foundation, Liverpool Theatre Festival, Liverpool Against Racism & Ultra Comedy.

I've had shows produced at Liverpool Playhouse, Hope Street Theatre, Gladstone Theatre and performed in many more such as Hope Mill, St Helen's Theatre Royal, The Citidel and more.

Liverpool Film Initiative, my film company working alongside multiple companies listed previously and more. Providing paid work for 20+ freelancers who work in film in a variety of different sectors.

My work in the local community and beyond it is testament to my dedication and commitment to being a productive and active member of society here in the UK. And the relationships I have built and continue to build speak volumes in the type of character I am.

I was encouraged by dear friends who would like to help fight these injustices with me, that I should start this page to help buffer legal costs in proceeding with this appeal. They see the worth in me being here in the UK. So please if you are able, do contribute and make a difference in a very difficult and unfathomable situation. It would mean so much to me and those who support and are supported by me being around.

Your kind contributions will go towards legal fees occurred through the process of this appeal.
Thank you again for your love and support.
