Helping Kadyn

Hi everyone!

I’m not making this fundraiser completely public, as I don’t want Kadyn to know about it right now. But, as most of you have heard, he graduated a few weeks ago with a major in psychology and a minor in philosophy from ASU. 

Though he’s had to work through many difficult things to finally graduate, at his request, we didn’t do a big celebration… just myself, his sister, and my cousin took him out to dinner. So I’m hoping to celebrate him by gathering a few small gifts from my little community in hopes that we might be able to help his transition a little. He’s signed a lease for a new rental house that will get him off campus and lower his rent some… but for the first few months, he’s got to pay double rent — the rent at his current housing on campus overlaps the rent at the new rental house in Boone for two months. Total for 2 months at 2 places is about $2900.

I’ve pooled what I can personally, & he’s paid down what he can, but we still need $1000 to help cover the two months of rent for two different apartments. If anyone is inspired to help him out a little, I know it can add up and make such a difference. His current job just doesn’t cover that much money in such a short span of time,and he has sold almost every valuable possession he has to pool what he can as well.

I’d just love to surprise him with a solution for at least a portion of the remaining amount as a belated graduation gift from all, and am hopeful a few friends might be able to help me out with this:) .
