DACA Recipient left in limbo after processing time for renewal has taken longer than expected.

My amazing friend K is always the first to lend a helping hand and open up her home to those who need it, but this time she’s the one who needs support. She’s living on her own in California pursuing her dreams of working in audio post production for TV shows and movies, but as many people’s reality under DACA, she has to worry about a renewal application very often. This time, with even longer and more complicated processing times, she is stuck waiting past her current DACA's expiration.

Trying to make ends meet in California is very difficult already, and because of the expiration she has to take unpaid leave from work indefinitely, putting her in a very tough spot without many options.
