My name is Justin, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve worked hard to support myself and those around me. I’m an entrepreneur and a handyman, always finding ways to help others and build something of my own. But this past year, everything changed. My landlord gave me a 30-day notice, and without savings to fall back on, I had no choice but to move back in with my family. Living at home was difficult—my grandmother, who’s elderly, began accusing me of things I didn’t do, and the tension made it impossible to feel at peace.
Just as I was trying to get back on my feet, I was in a terrible car accident. A 17-year-old driver hit me from behind, flipping my car and sending me to the hospital. I spent weeks in physical therapy, unable to work, and stuck at my parents’ house facing more accusations and stress. With no car, no job, and no money, I felt my world closing in. I tried to keep moving forward, but after another setback, I found myself homeless in August 2024.
Stable housing is the center of building one’s life—a man without land is like a country without a flag. If I can secure a place to live, I’ll be able to restart my handyman business and other service work, get back into a routine, and regain my independence. I’ve always been proud and wanted to help others, but now I’m asking for direct help. Your support will give me the chance to rebuild and move forward. Thank you for considering a donation to help me get back on my feet.
