Life can change in a heartbeat. Just a few weeks ago, Julie and Greg Mason were living their everyday life together building their dream van to travel around Australia off grid.

Then came the devastating news: Greg has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML).

Greg has already begun intensive chemotherapy and faces the urgent need for a bone marrow transplant in the next few months. Right now, no suitable donor has been found, and the search is extending worldwide.

Every day counts.

Through all of this, Julie has been by Greg’s side, supporting him with unwavering love and strength. Despite the enormity of what they are facing, Julie has thrown her energy into raising global awareness for plasma, blood and stem cell donation.

She has said many times:

“Even if we don’t find a match for Greg, maybe we will save someone else’s life.”

But behind this tireless advocacy, there’s also a personal reality. Julie is self-employed, and with Greg in hospital and their lives turned upside down, financial stress is the last thing she should have to worry about. She needs to focus on Greg’s care, on their time together, and on keeping the hope alive - not on bills and living expenses.
