My name is Sheryl, and I am raising funds for myself and my mother, Judith Bennett. We have been through an incredibly difficult time. My mom was in a terrible car accident that left her with a crushed knee before we were forced to evacuate due to a flood. She spent six months in hospitals and rehab, and at 83 years old, she has fallen several times since. On top of that, someone close to her took advantage of her, leaving her with ruined credit and no support. I have been doing everything I can to care for her, but we ended up homeless, sleeping in our car and in shelters.

Judith has congestive heart failure, has had two heart surgeries, and is supposed to be on oxygen, but being homeless has made it impossible to get her the care she needs. I am also struggling with autoimmune diseases and have been without my medications, making it even harder to care for both of us. Despite all of this, I am determined to find a safe place for my mom to live, where she can get the care and dignity she deserves. She is starting to forget things, and I worry every day about her safety and health.

We are asking for help to get into an apartment, cover some medical needs, and pay off enough debt to qualify for housing.
