Help JR Kendrick with his Eagle Project!

Hello! My name is J.R. Kendrick, and I am a Life Scout with Troop 3 out of Tehachapi, CA with Scouts BSA. You may have seen me around town volunteering at community events such as Mountain Fest, or in local parades with my fellow Scouts, or perhaps at the Stallion Springs Library, where I used to volunteer. I am also an employee at Ashmore Motors, and just finished up my second year at Cerro Coso Community College, where I am pursuing a degree in Cyber Security. My family and I have lived in Stallion Springs for six and a half years and I am proud to be a productive member of our amazing community, and of the Greater Tehachapi Area.

I am currently working very hard toward my Eagle rank and have had a project benefitting the community of Stallion Springs approved! Eagle rank is the highest rank attainable in Scouts BSA, and only about four percent of Scouts reach this achievement. I am determined to include myself in that four percent.

My project involves having concrete poured around the outside of the play structure/sand area at the Stallion Springs Community Center to correct a current tripping hazard, and to install four attractive, weather-resistant benches on the concrete to provide much-needed seating to the area.

I am fundraising toward the cost of this project, and any contribution you might be willing to provide toward this endeavor would be greatly appreciated, not only by myself, but ultimately by my entire community. My goal is to raise approximately $3325, and the labor required to safely install the seating will be provided by myself and my troop. There is no such thing as a gift too small, and I appreciate your consideration in helping me reach my goal.
