Help Joyce stay in her home

Joyce is 83 years old. Her husband of 60+ years passed away a couple years ago. She lives alone in the home she raised her family in and has been recently diagnosed with a heart condition that makes her blood pressure drop dramatically when she stands up. When stands up she is at high risk of fairing and falling. She has repeatedly requested a motorized wheelchair from her insurance for 6+months but has been denied. She is blessed to still have a very clear mind and values maintaining some level of independence, but she needs help.

The improvements we would like to provide Joyce are the following:

Replace broken porch light at front door
Install new storm door with lock and blind (current door is broken).
Build ADA ramp from kitchen to garage for ease of access.
Purchase a motorized wheelchair to enable her to move around her home autonomously without risk of a dangerous fall.
Re-seal her driveway which is badly deteriorating due to lack of maintenance.
Build a 2x4 and plywood storage area and counter so she can access her belongings. Her garage currently has high shelves she cannot reach.
Stock her fridge and pantry with nutritious food and pre-made meals for the holidays.
Prepay her utility bills for the month of December

Our goal is to have 2-5 projects such as this one. Any funds that are raised above the needs for Joyce will be rolled over to the next project. 100% of all funds go directly to purchases for the recipient or to hire contractors/professionals when it’s beyond the scope of volunteers.
