I’m Ann, thank you for taking the time to read my friend’s story. Our close family friend Joyce has lost her left leg. She recently underwent surgery and although she has recovered, Joyce’s situation is far from ideal. Joyce lives on an extremely steep hill and she has not been able to leave her home in 8 months,

out of fear of falling down the slope to her death. In addition to her missing limb, she is missing much human contact,

therefore loneliness and depression have set in.

We are reaching out to ask for your help with raising funds to build Joyce a home in a safer and more accessible location.

Some of the materials from her current house will be salvaged and put towards the new residence. To help resolve her issues, Joyce’s sister has donated a vacant lot with flat topography. This land is more accessible for someone who is disabled and it is closer to people in her area. Her church has agreed to provide some of the material and labor required to construct the new residence. My family has donated to the cause and we are also helping her to find more funding for the remaining resources needed to complete her home.

To undertake this endeavor, we have calculated that a sum of ten thousand USD would be required. We would be grateful if you would assist in reaching this goal. Together we can help Joyce down the hill and into a new home!
