Dear supporters, friends, and caring individuals.
My name is Daisha Day and I am the daughter and supporter of Jotasha Washington.
Ms. Washington is an ex-Los Angeles County DCFS employee and former foster youth who became ill when her entire department and office building was shut down after being exposed to the Covid 19 virus. As with so many others across the world, this virus claimed the life of a known colleague as it spread throughout Ms. Washington's place of employment. Ms. Washington was directly exposed and was unable to return to work or engage with other employees due to severe respiratory issues for a long period of time. The severity of the illness even caused her to refrain from the presence of her 4-year-old granddaughter, whom she loves dearly and who serves as a support. After fighting through the deadly virus episode off and on for over 2 years as she attempted to maintain her role as a child protection agent, she was forced to make a decision to leave her career of nearly 3 decades. She has been a loyal and dedicated case worker over the years and can't imagine leaving the department and children behind, which she cherished for so many years. All donations will contribute and help with the medical cost and financial support she needs to continue on her career path to spreading the message and helping others.
Thank you all for your love, empathy, and support. It is very much appreciated.
