Hi everyone, my name is Josybel Morales. I am 26 years old, and this past December, my life changed completely when I received a breast cancer diagnosis.

Since then, I have fought with everything I have. I went through 16 rounds of chemotherapy, but heartbreakingly, the tumor became resistant to the treatment. To figure out what was happening, I underwent a genetic test, which revealed the underlying cause: a mutation in the PT53 gene that makes the tumor resistant to standard treatments.

To stop the tumor from continuing to grow and spreading, my doctors urgently need me to start a specialized medication called Pertuzumab. The treatment consists of 18 vials given every 21 days.

The financial burden is overwhelming: the first vial costs $7,000, and each of the subsequent 17 vials costs $3,500. Most importantly, once this treatment begins, it cannot be interrupted or paused under any circumstances, as doing so could allow the tumor to develop resistance to this treatment, my last remaining treatment option.

At 26 years old, I have so many dreams left to fulfill, and I am not ready to give up. But I cannot do this alone.
