On the morning of November 8th, we are heartbroken to share that my uncle was taken by ICE. Josue Quinto was going to work after picking up materials for his job. After loading his car and entering his vehicle, ICE broke his windows and took him away.
My uncle is a kind and hardworking man, not a criminal and certainly should not have been treated as such. Josue is a loving father, a doting partner, an endearingly teasing uncle, reliable friend, and a pillar in his community. He works tirelessly to support his family and yet is always willing to lend a helping hand. I’m not putting it lightly when I say that Josue is a foundation in our lives, the man we can always lean on for comfort, support, and warmth.
We are devastated, feeling lost, and yet determined to fight for Josue. We are asking donations for legal fees, immigration assistance, support for his family, and any other expenses that may arise as we work tirelessly to bring Josue back home with his family.
We would appreciate any contribution, whether it is a donation or sharing his story, as it would aid us greatly during this difficult time. Thank you from the Cancino, Quinto, Diaz, Ipina, and Garay families.
