Summary:
Joshua (36) and Nanette (54) are currently homeless and living in their minivan with their two dogs and cat. Joshua is working, but the van — their only shelter — is breaking down and has no heat. This fundraiser will help them secure a reliable van or RV so they can stay safe, get to work and appointments, and begin rebuilding their lives.
Details:
Joshua and Nanette relocated to New Jersey after Nanette’s serious knee injury required surgery. Despite their efforts, they have been unable to secure stable housing and have been living in their van with their pets: Buzz, Fairway, and Lucky Bean.
Joshua works at Jersey Mike’s, while Nanette manages ongoing health issues, including difficulty obtaining an ID without a permanent address. Living in a van has made even basic daily tasks extremely challenging.
Their van is breaking down, with no heat, a malfunctioning window, engine issues, and catalytic converter problems — a dangerous situation, especially in colder weather. Their most urgent need is a reliable van or, if possible, an RV. While long-term housing is the goal, a safe vehicle would provide immediate security and independence. All donations go directly to Joshua and Nanette for this purpose.
Their long-term goal is to relocate to Missouri, where Joshua’s father lives and where they have a support system to continue rebuilding.
Every donation, share, and kind word helps Joshua and Nanette move one step closer to safety and stability. Thank you for your support.
