Hi, I’m Stacey, and I’m organizing this fundraiser for my close family member, Josh, because I have seen firsthand the kind of dad he is.

Josh is currently involved in a very difficult custody case with his former partner because she is trying to significantly reduce Josh’s already limited parenting time with his daughter. He has had to fight for a place in his daughter’s life every step of the way, and he treasures the time she is with him and his other children. Any reduction in that time would be devastating to their entire family. Despite Josh offering a fair compromise on the parenting schedule, his former partner will not settle for anything less than reducing Josh’s parenting time to one weekend every other week – that’s only 48 hours every two weeks.

Fortunately, most people do not experience the toll that family court takes on everyone involved. It is complicated, emotional, and expensive. Legal fees add up quickly, and although Josh has carried this responsibility with strength, it is more than he can shoulder alone. He always makes sure his children’s needs are met and would do anything necessary to ensure their safety and happiness. Now he needs help to make sure he is not pushed out of his daughter’s life.

Every child deserves to have two loving parents. Josh wants nothing more than to have as much time as possible with his daughter, and that shouldn’t be sacrificed because of money. This fundraiser could make a world of difference in helping Josh fight to maintain a strong role in his daughter’s life.
