Hi, my name is Jordan Patrick-Satterfield, and I’m starting this fundraiser for my brother-in-law, Josh.

Josh is one of those rare people you meet and never forget. He is a fiercely loyal, endlessly hardworking, and full-of-heart human. If you know him, whether from San Antonio, Wichita, or anywhere in between, you know just how much he gives to the people around him. He’s the kind of person who shows up when it counts: a rock for my sister and a devoted dad to their two beautiful kids, Julian and Naomi.

Early in the morning on Wednesday, August 13th, after closing up Burleson Yard, the bar and community hub where he works as General Manager, Josh was brutally attacked. He was knocked unconscious and left alone with a broken jaw, two black eyes, and severe facial swelling. It’s been devastating for all of us to see someone so good, who means so much to so many, hurt in such a violent and senseless way.

Josh is now facing a long and painful recovery. Without health insurance, every medical expense will come out of pocket. Additionally, he will be unable to return to work for at least a month, leaving his family without their primary source of income during an already challenging time.

We’re raising funds to help cover medical bills and essential living expenses while Josh focuses on healing. The amount we’re asking for is just an estimate, but honestly, any contribution you can make, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing, will make a meaningful difference.

We’re holding onto hope. Hope that Josh will be back on his feet soon, back with his kids, and back in the community he’s helped build and care for.
