I was married for 41 years to a wonderful woman who was the heart and soul of our home. She took care of everything—paying the bills, managing our lives, and caring for me. When she passed away, I was left lost and unprepared. I didn’t know how to handle daily responsibilities, and I quickly lost everything. Now, as a disabled senior, I can’t use my right arm and can’t walk for more than ten minutes. I have no family to turn to, and I am currently homeless, trying to survive each day.
Losing my wife made me realize how much I took her for granted and how much she truly loved me. I’ve learned the hard way that women are a gift, and I will never take that for granted again. Despite my struggles, I believe it’s not too late for me. With a safe place to live and a car, I can regain my confidence, find a job—even at 68—and become a productive member of society again.
