Jose is a fighter. Life has not always been kind to him, but he has faced every obstacle with grace and perseverance. Despite everything, he has managed to remain soft, kind, and full of heart. His resilience continues to inspire everyone around him. Anyone who knows Jose knows his contagious smile and effortless sense of humor. His fight, however, is not over. He had just finished paying off his pride and joy—his motorcycle—when he was involved in a serious accident caused by a negligent driver. The crash left him with severe injuries, yet even in the midst of pain, he continues to show us how strong he truly is. His progress has even surprised the medical staff caring for him.

Although he still has a long road to recovery, Jose—lovingly known as Gordo by his family—is only 22 years old and has a bright future ahead of him. We are asking for our community’s support during this difficult time to help ensure he receives the proper care he not only needs, but truly deserves
