Jordan has suffered a major stroke and is brain dead. He is going for one final scan because he is an organ donor. I am updating this fundraiser to support the cost of his funeral expenses. UPDATE 9/11/24: I just left the last visit with Jordan. still not much change.. they said his cultures are developing some bacteria so they’ve started him on antibiotics and will know more in a couple days. they started him on some meds to try to get him using the bathroom. still on pain meds/anxiety meds.. they have tried to start lowering the sedation again but they are going to do it at a much slower rate. his fever is still down and his blood pressure is better they were able to remove the bp line and just use a normal blood pressure cuff. he is handling the feeding tube. they said he does have some movement here and there but he is still not awake and is not responding purposeful to commands.. UPDATE 9/11/24: Yesterday afternoon Jordan spiked a pretty high fever, they brought in cooling fans to try to bring his temperature down. They sent off cultures to check for infections.. They had to turn his sedation back up due to him being really aggitated last night. His fever has since gone back down other than that no change as he is not awake to assess brain activity. Please continue with your prayers for Jordan to heal and for his kids who are taking this very hard missing their daddy. Everything is appreciated.

On Sunday 9/8/2024, my brother Jordan Friar was in a terrible accident. He had to be medflighted to Huntsville Hospital where he remains in critical condition on life support in the trauma ICU. At the moment, we are unaware of the extent of the damage, except for he has a fractured skull and brain bleed. They will not know more until they can wake him up and check for brain activity. Unfortunately, he does not have health insurance. We are asking for donations to help support him and cover medical bills during this time. He has 3 small children that he takes care of. We have set the donation to $30,000 because we are aware that’s how much his medflight costs. I will continue to update this post as I know more.
