I never imagined I would be in this position, reaching out for help, but as a mom to a sweet and loving 3-year-old named Jordan with severe autism, I am at a loss. The services my son needs are so expensive, and while insurance helps, it only goes so far. Every day, I see how much Jordan struggles in group settings—after just ten minutes with other children, he becomes so overwhelmed that it takes hours for him to calm down. He does so much better with adults, especially one-on-one, and I know in my heart that in-home tutoring is what he needs right now to learn and grow.
I want to hire a tutor who can work with Jordan in the comfort of our home, where he feels safe and can truly focus. My hope is that with this support, he can make progress at his own pace, and when he’s ready, we can gently introduce more social experiences. But right now, I am struggling to provide what he needs. I am a mom that is drowning. I cry at night—not just for me, but for him. I constantly wonder what happened, where did I go wrong, and to the other parents out there who know what it’s like to have never heard your child say 'I love you'... it does something to you internally. I just want the panic attacks to stop. I feel helpless, but I know I have to keep trying for him.
Any support would mean the world to us. Your kindness could make all the difference in helping Jordan get the care and attention he deserves. Thank you for reading our story and for considering a donation. Your help brings hope to our family.
