Please can you help JonJoe get the physiotherapy he needs
Donation protected
I am starting this fundraiser in support of my best friend JonJoe who recently had a serious accident while in the Newcastle United club shop which has left him with a broken shoulder, torn rotator cuff, torn bicep and other injuries, causing him severe pain which is impacting on his everyday life.
Without the proper therapy his recovery will be extremely challenging.
JonJoe has cerebral palsy, which in his own words does not define him. He has an incredible zest for life, which he lives to the fullest, always with a smile on his face and kindness in his heart. JonJoe had one main goal in life which was to gain paid employment, and he never lost sight of that, and even though it took a while to achieve, he now has a job with an events company based in Newcastle which he very much enjoys. He has had to take time away from work due to his injuries which is having a negative effect on his well-being and may impact his recovery, so the sooner he is able to return to work the better he will be.
JonJoe has been a fan of Newcastle United FC all his life, and for the past few years has been a valued volunteer and supporter of the NUFC Fans Foodbank. He is a popular matchday collector at St James Park before every home game, with many of the regular fans stopping for a chat before the match.
Despite everything he faces, JonJoe has always been there for me and has been an amazing friend. He was recently the Man of Honour at my wedding and did a great job, both in the weeks leading up to the wedding and afterwards and is still looking out for me now in every way he can, I cherish the time we spend together, especially our match days at Newcastle United.
My goal is to raise £15,000 which will fund this essential therapy for one year. It will help to relieve the pain, improve mobility, and support his overall well-being. The cost will cover professional Neuro-Physiotherapy recommended for clients with cerebral palsy and is not currently available to him on the NHS, and Hydrotherapy, which will aid his recovery as his shoulder could become frozen and immobile if left to heal without the correct treatment plan and could lead to complications further down the line.
Please help me to get the essential therapy my best friend needs to return to the life he has worked so hard to achieve. If you can donate it is very much appreciated, every donation will make a difference. If not, can I ask you to share this page to help spread the word. Thank you so much for your support and kindness.
