Hi, my name is Jonathan Colas, and I’m the middle child in a family of four. My older brother is 20, my little brother is 17, and my sister is 21. We all live with our mom, who has carried everything on her shoulders for as long as I can remember. Our family has faced heartbreak after heartbreak. My sister suffered brain damage, we were scammed, and ever since, we’ve been struggling just to survive.

Recently, things became even harder when we were evicted from our apartment. My mom tried to pay the bill, but her payment was refused, and the apartment demanded a much higher payment than usual. This has left us without a stable place to live and made it nearly impossible to keep up with basic needs like food, shelter, and transportation. Every day is a challenge, and it’s hard to see my siblings suffering alongside me.
